Life like Katherine Heigl Knew it changed when she moved to Utah, but she would not change anything.
The Gray’s Anatomy Alum, which moved several years ago in the hope of a more peaceful life for her family, shared that she is completely satisfied with her choice to leave Hollywood.
“I have found and carved out this peace for myself and for my family, and it gives me so much joy and satisfaction and clarity and foundation,” she told E! News’ Francesca amics In an exclusive interview. “And I’m just thinking, ‘Why mess with it?'”
Heigl, 46, admitted that she has questioned her choice – or others who judge her for it – but she has decided to focus on what is best for her and her family.
“Sometimes I ask myself if I would be part of the game, if I were to hustle, if I would be more ambitious. And I just think I really don’t want to,” she explained. “If you don’t want it, don’t, just because you think that’s what you should do, or that’s what society expects from you.”
Leaving Los Angeles has also strengthened his marriage to the man Josh Kelley.
“For me he has only become, especially in this world that we have created for us in Utah, he has become such my person, and he has always been,” she shared. “Even in the beginning, like a safe harbor, someone I could only depend on and count on.”
