Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet gives passionate speech at the UN
Fans didn’t always see Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garners daughter Violet around the city. But recently, the 19-year-old has taken a bigger step into the public eye.
Case in point? Violet recently gave a passionate speech At the UN headquarters in New York, where she talked about the effects of Long Covid in children and demanded pure air infrastructure.
“We are told by leaders across the line that we are the future,” said the Yale student in her September 23 -address. “But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our gift is stolen just in front of our eyes.”
Four months before, Violet Published an essay in Yale Global Health Review Where she compared the answers to climate change-speaking her experience with the Los Angeles fires to those from the Covid-19-Pandemic. And in July 2024, the youth lawyer participated in a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor’s meeting where she demanded measures that would be taken to confront Long Covid, including the availability of masks, tests and treatment; air filtration in state facilities; And a resistance to mask ban.
“I got a post-viral condition in 2019,” She shared at that time. “I’m OK now, but I first saw that the medicine does not always have answers to the consequences of even less viruses. The Covid-19-Pandemic has thrown it into sharper relief.”
