Where Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver stands after his business

And Maria – who writes in her book about her “trips to various therapists, heals, shamans and psychics” as well as a Short stay in a monastery On her path to healing – has similarly expressed how she wanted to be able to move forward, including by rebuilding a friendship with Arnold.

“I think Arnold and I have a good relationship now, and I think there will always be a love there,” said 69-year-old on March 25 section of Oprah podcast. “As you said, I met him when I was 21 years old. He is the father of my children. We are grandparents together. I do not want hatred, I do not want anger in my body against another person. I do not want it in my life at all.”

And she doesn’t want it for her children either.

“I didn’t want my children to have separate birthday parties,” Mary added. “I didn’t want them to stress when they were getting married, stress when they would have a child. I didn’t want what happened between their dad and me to destroy their lives. It already causes a crime in their lives, right? But I wanted to model for them a new way forward. I hope they will not be divorced because I believe in marriage but I want you to know that you can know.

Through time she has been able to find forgiveness – both for her husband and for how hard she was on herself. Like Maria – who talked about how poetry also helped in her healing process – wrote in an excerpt of her book that was shared on Oprah WinfreyPodcast, “If I forgive myself / I can forgive him / I can forgive her / And so it / everything is forgiven / we are all free to go.”
