Authorities continue to investigate the deaths of Genhackman And his wife Betsy Arakawa.
Two days after the couple and one of their dogs were found dead in their Santa Fe, NM, home, the police shared an update on the investigation and revealed at a press conference that Hackman actually died almost two weeks ago.

The sheriff said that the police have not yet determined who died first or how they died.
However, both individuals tested negatively for carbon monoxide, which Mendoza said seems to exclude carbon monoxide poisoning, even if the investigation is ongoing. He also does not believe that the couple died by falling, as there was no indication of trauma or injury.
