‘V/H/S/HALLOWEEN’ TRAILER: HORROR Anthology Franchise Returns


A New “V/H/S” movie Has become something of a Halloween tradition for horror lovers, as a new post in the ongoing anthologifanchisen has debuted on Shudder every October 2021. This year the series is leaning on holiday connection by releasing its first explicitly Halloween-TEM filmappropriate the title ”V/H/S/HALLOWEEN. ”

On real “V/H/S” mode, the new movie will contain six standalone horror shorts, loosely connected in the form of losing videotapes. The franchise has long been known to serve as both a starting plate for rising filmmakers and a creative sandbox for more experienced names, and “V/H/S/HALLOWEEN” does not seem to be any exception. Notable directors include Alex Ross Perry, who leads the segment “Kidprint” and “Too Many Chefs” and “Adult Swim Yule Log” author/director Casper Kellythat gives their talents to a segment entitled “Fun size.” Other directors include “Rec” franchise Patateer Paco Plaza, Music Videran Bryan M. Ferguson, married filmmaking team Micheline Pitt -Norman and RH Norman and “Appendage” director Anna Zlokovic.

An official synopsis for the film promises that a “collection of Halloween theme videos will release a series of twisted, blood soaked stories and turn trick-or-treat into a struggle for survival.”

First launched in 2012, “V/H/S” has become one of Hollywood’s most reliable genre franchise thanks to the elasticity of its subject, giving filmmakers the freedom to tell virtually all horror stories they want as long as it connects to a loose theme. The original film premiered at the Film Festival in 2012 and became a breakout hit and quickly guested the theatrical sequels “V/H/S/2” 2013 and “V/H/S Viral” 2014.
