In the years since Matt and Graphic Designer Rachael Kirkconnell left his season 2021 together (then briefly shared and eventually reunited), they have met many a division room.
“I think everyone has to take a break from social media,” the former candidate Exclusive told E! Beginner At July 18, Baskin-Robbins event. “Our lives live so much in front of our phones that when someone goes out of being on their phone around the clock, people think it’s the end of the world.”
In fact, Matt said that marriage remains the playoffs for the couple.

But less than three years later, Matt announced that he and Rachael shared.
“Father God, give Rachael and I strength to cook our broken hearts,” the reality star wrote on Instagram 16 Jan 2025 along with a throwing photo of them on Bachelor. “Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that exceeds the worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our joy comes from you, Lord.”
