Twich’s mother describes moving from grandchildren after his death

In the book Detailed Allison Last time she and her kids saw Stephen.

She and Zaia had returned from taking Maddox to school, she wrote, and Stephen talked to their assistants and child girls before driving Weslie to the class.

“When they walked out the door I said, ‘See you. Love you’,” Allison remember. “I didn’t even say goodbye.”

After a Starbucks driving, she continued, Stephen took Weslie to school and told the teenager, “I wish I could have been your superman.”

“It was an odd statement, but Weslie didn’t live on it; she dismissed it as a strange father’s moment,” Allison said. “They exchanged I love you before he pulled out of the school party. It was the last time she would see him. I can’t get it out of my head that Stephen already said goodbye in his own way before he disappeared.”

Later, Stephen did not meet her at the gym or office as planned but still responded to messages from their team about a video game for the next day. That afternoon Allison saw his car in the driveway but soon realized that he was not home.

In the book she told us to try to contact Stephen but got no answer – leads her to reach out to her assistant, brother, friend and hospital and submit a report on missing people. While Allison says she thought Stephen might have checked into a recovery center, police informed her that he died of suicide December 13, 2022.

“I ran into the hall screaming,” she wrote. “The sound that fled from the throat was wild.”
