Lena Dunham and Make Luis Felber’s New Netflix series ‘too much,’ game Meganwill release July 10, and while The series trailer Dunham promised laughter and said she also felt a responsibility to use the show to make a position on women’s rights. The “Girls” creator/star also told THR before the preview that she felt it was necessary to shine a light on Planned Parenthood during “this really important moment.”
“Although we know that television may not always change the steering wheel about politics, what we can do is to normalize very normal health roles as an abortion for our audience and especially let young people look and want to get care on Planned Parenthood know what a loving, safe place it is,” she said.
Dunham has collaborated with and advocated for Planned Parenthood Previously, including 2017 when she released a star -packed animated tribute to the organization with participants such as Meryl Streep, Mindy Kaling, Jennifer Lawrence and America Ferra.
“We have been working on the film for over a year in an attempt to highlight Planned Parenthood’s remarkable history and ongoing struggle to continue serving the people who show up to their health centers every day of the year,” Dunham told Thr at that time. “I really think it’s the best cartoon about the story of reproductive freedom ever made, but it may also be the only cartoon movie about the story of reproductive freedom ever made.”
“Too much” finds that Stalter played a workaholic that in the wake of a failed relationship moves to London to “Live a life with loneliness as a brontë sister.” Of course, things change when she meets a man (Will Sharpe) who challenges her new life plan. The stacked role also plays Andrew Rannells and Rita Wilson, and has performances from Andrew Scott, Naomi Watts and Rhea Pearlman.
