Texas State Senator Angela Paxton and the state’s national lawyer Ken Paxton goes their separate roads.
Angela announced that she had applied for divorce from her husband in almost four decades, with whom she shares four adult children and five grandchildren.
“Today, after 38 years of marriage, I applied for divorce on biblical grounds,” she divided into x July 10. “I think marriage is a sacred covenant and I have seriously persecuted reconciliation.”
“But in light of the latest discoveries, I do not think it honors God or is loving to myself, my children or Ken to stay in marriage,” the 62-year-old continued. “I am moving forward with complete confidence that God always works together for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.”
For his part, Ken, also 62, released a statement on his own addressing of their division.
“After meeting the pressure from countless political attacks and public review, Angela and I have decided to start a new chapter in our lives,” he wrote on x July 10. “I couldn’t be more proud or grateful for the incredible family that God has blessed us with, and I remain committed to supporting our fantastic children and grandchildren.”
