It would not be one Autumn festival season Without any cinematic, classic theater works, and no one is more exciting this year than Nia DacostaS “Hedda. ”
The director’s fourth function is an update of Henrik Ibsen’s classic realistic drama “Hedda Gabler”, which documents the inner concern for a newly appointed woman who manipulates a former lover to suicide as a way of stunning the frustration and boredom that she knows her lovely marriage. The game is considered to be one of Ibsen’s masterpieces and the title character is still one of the crucial female roles in the western theater canon.
Although it remains to be seen how much Dacosta’s adaptation will adhere to the original plot, film will no doubt give Tessa Thompson (WHO Previously played in Dacostas ‘Little Woods’) Lots of rich material to draw from when she goes into the role of Hedda. The actress will be united by Imogen Poot, Tom Bateman, Nicholas Pinnock and Nina Hoss.
Since he broke out with “Little Woods” in 2018, Dacosta has largely leaned his director to franchise services, including 2021 “Candyman” follower and comic book “The Marvels.” Next at her dock is “28 years later: The Bone Temple”, which will serve as the second post in a new trilogy that started with Danny Boyles “28 years later.” On one Recent interview with IndieWireBoyle explained the unique perspective that Dacosta brings the material.
