The Star Wars Franchise has been a bit of a break from the big screen but in the meantime fans have been blessed with a plethora of TV programs. The latest new offer from a galaxy far, far away to hit the small screen is coming Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The long -drawn production will contain mostly children’s heads, with Jude Law as their protector. Well, now the first trailer has come, and it gives off everything Amblin movie vibes that were promisedAnd I love it. But I still have a big question.
From the hope it is clear in the trailer that our four lead roles are the young and urgent mature Wim, Fern, KB and Neel, who live on a sleepy planet that have not yet been named. The quartet is facing major choices about their future, but before that they happen to stumble across what seems to be an old Jedi temple. But what else is, they dissolve a shuttle that sends them out into space, which starts their adventure.
What I love about this trailer is that it gives off the airy and warm vibes that have historically been associated with Amblin films. Even the iconography, believe it or not, is similar to what film films have seen and loved with these productions over the years. The Children’s Home Plan has even a neighborhood that looks like a Star Wars-Format version of a community from a movie that Et the extraterrestrial or Back to the future. Frankly I am impressed with how series creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford managed to mix this classic atmosphere with George Lucas‘iconic franchise.
It is also difficult not to like the characters, even after only seeing a few of them here. They are just such a damn team of young people that one might expect for this type of show, and it’s fantastic to see. Quite frankly, by this time it seems that the nearest fans can come For a long time talked about Goonies continuation.
However, I still can’t help but wonder how this is related to the larger Star Wars universe. It has previously been confirmed Skeleton crew takes place in the same time pocket as series as Mandalorian and Ahsoka. And with that, its threads would also converge with those performances Dave Filoni’s groundbreaking movieWhich will bring all the arches of the series to a lace. As exciting as SC Is, by this time, I just can’t see how these characters can be crossed with those from the other two above series and others. It just feels so far from them geographically and tone.
I guess I shouldn’t doubt philoni and other EP Jon FavreauHowever, because they probably have a plan here. It is possible that what can bring these children into the courses for your djarin, ahsoka Tano and more are Jew’s iodine Na Nawood, a jedi with which the children cross roads. Given the increasing threat from the Grand Admiral Thrawn, Nawood may be aware of or will become aware of what the remains of the Galactic Empire plan. And if so, the children may end up in the cross in some way. Of course, this is speculation, but until more revealed it is all fans that I can do by this time.
Yet, regardless of the unknown variables, I am keen to see more of Amblin-like Skeleton crew have to offer. However cool it will be to see how it links to the larger universe, let’s just hope it manages to be a fresh and captivating story on our own.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set to the premiere of Disney+ subscription holder on December 3 as part of TV schedule 2024. Meanwhile you can find out previous shows in this sci-fi series and read on coming Star Wars TV programs and movies.
