Investigators are zeroed in on new evidence in the deaths Genhackman And his wife Betsy Arakawa.
Specifically Santa Fe County Sheriff Adam Mendoza Quoted an open prescription pill bottle found near Arakawa’s body, first mentioned in a pledge for a search order obtained by NBC News on February 27, as a crucial detail authorities take a closer look at as they continue to decide the couple and their dog’s sudden death.
“It is obviously very important evidence of the place,” Mendoza told Savannah Guthrie On the 28th February episode of Today. “That information was collected, that information was transferred to the medical investigator’s office to help them make a determination. So we look at it specifically and other medicines that might be in the home. So it’s something of concern.”
The sheriff – which leads the investigation of the long -term couple’s deaths – has enabled a toxicology report “to take up to three months or even possibly longer.”
“It just depends on how busy the laboratory is,” Mendoza explained. “But we hope that it will come sooner than later so that we can answer some of these questions and hopefully it will help us in our investigation to help determine the death and cause of death.”
