Sheinelle Jones Takes a big step in her sorgre.
Almost a year after Today Host took a sabbatical day from the day series, she has returned to Studio 1st September 5 after the announcement of her husband FitnessDeath in May.
During her emotional return, she also shared why she and Uche held their cancer match privately before her absence and his passing.
“There may be some people watching and they say, you know, why didn’t she share? Like, why did she last so long?” Sheinelle shared while he was surrounded by her Today family. “And what I will tell you that Uche was seriously private. I chose the limelight, but he did not … and when he got this diagnosis, he asked me, which I want to handle this private. And he was so protective for us, the children, over the years it was my turn to be protective, and he was so loyal.
Sheinelle – the mother of the kids Nephy16 and twins Uche and Clear13 – Step back from their role at Today In December 2024 after Ueces diagnosis with glioblastoma. Months later, Ueces death was confirmed in a 23 May section of Today. He was only 45.
“At this moment I am okay, day to day, I’m okay,” shared sheinelle during his first sitdown interview with Savannah Guthrie. “From a macro image, how do I feel? My heart is crushed. My heart is crushed into a million pieces. The life I have known since I was 19 is no more.”
