Selena Doc drew from the Sundance website after the cliff leak at Tiktok


Isabel Castros “Selena Y Los Dinos”, which won Sundance Film Festival Documentary Special Jury Award For Archival Storytelling, has been removed from the festival’s streaming website after fans published clips from the film on Tiktok and Instagram.

The organization sent an e -mail message Friday afternoon and informed those who have access to the website that the film is no longer available.

“We acknowledge and regret that this can cause disappointment, but part of our commitment to advocating for independent filmmakers ensures that they can protect their art that they have created and serve their lives – now and in the future,” read the e -mail. “We take copyright infringement extremely seriously and intend to cooperate with local, state and federal law enforcement.”
