Rupaul becomes most nominated reality -worthy


“Rupaul’s Drag Race” and “The Daily Show” crushed records at Emmy nominations in 2025 and made new franchise posts and awards.

With its 10th nomination in a row, Rupaul Charles now holds the record to have most nominations for outstanding host for reality or reality competition programs, breaking the previously held tie and making values for the only record holder.

Pull Competition franchis also received 10 nominations, which made it the most nominees of any reality or reality competition program this year. And with nine nominations, “Rupaul’s Drag Race” exceeded its own record for the most and consecutive nominations ever for outstanding casting for a reality program, after being nominated every year since the category was created.

Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” received 12 nominations, which made the Comedy Central series the most nominated late night series for the second year in a row. In addition, the series surpassed its formerly held franchise with seven nominations.

“The Daily Show presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers The Pulse” got its first nomination in the outstanding host for nonfiction or special category.

“Drag Race” after show “Rupaul’s Drag Race: untucked” received two nominations for outstanding unstructured reality programs and outstanding image editing for an unstructured reality program.

The unwritten series was announced four hours before the rest of Emmy -Nominated at 7:47 eg/4: 47 AM PT. “CBS Morning” revealed two categories for the 77th Emmy Awards in Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Talk Series.

“Drag Race” will compete against Alan Cumming’s “traitors” and unwritten pillars “The Amazing Race”, “Survivor” and “Top boss.”

Stewart’s “The Daily Show” stands up against “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in the Talk Series category.
