HBO’s Untitled Rachel Sennott -Series Now have a release date – and A title. Star “Bottoms” and “Shiva Baby” and co -authors will produce and lead the series “I love LA“That will be broadcast every week at HBO And stream at HBO Max, kicks in the fall.
The series will center around a group of friends who navigate life and love in the city of Angels, like so many before them. Sennott stars like Maia, with Jordan Firstman as Charlie, Josh Hutcerson as Dylan, Odessa A’zion as Tallulah and True Whitaker as Alani. Guest stars include Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Bener, Tim Baltz, Froy Gutierrez and Colin Woodell. Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri and Lorene Scaria also executive products, with the eight-section season directed by Sennott, Lorene Shafaria, Bill Benz and Kevin Bray.
“I love LA” was announced in the fall of 2024 Without a title, with Sennott, Barrie, Rodgers and Scaria already attached. Barrie and Rodgers worked with HBO for “Barry”, while “Hustler’s” film creator Scafaria recently contributed to “Success.”
The show’s condition and studio connection Drew immediate Comparisons with Lena Dunham’s “Girls”, which became a plan for Millennial Ennui during its driving 2012–2017. It can also find connective tissue with Issa Rae’s “Uncertain,” A newer entry into the genre to navigate at the age of twenty at HBO, which found lively storytelling opportunities in the Los Angeles environment.
Sennott spoke with indieview 2023 Around the release of “Bottoms”, which shares its excitement to tell off-clads and hard comedic stories from the female perspective. She noted a reluctance to female characters that viewers can “tell was written by a man.” Oh they love each one and they are silly“That kind of things,” she said. She quoted “Scott Pilgrim”, “Friday Night Lights”, “Heathers” and more as inspiration for the tonmashup of “Bottoms”, but also as authentic stories that reason with the audience to this day.
“I Love La” debuts on Sunday 2 November at. 22:30 ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream at HBO MAX. New episodes will debut each week until the final on Sunday, December 21. Check out more pictures from the show below.
