What do you get when you have a home full of pensioners with endless time on your hands? Well, a convincing whodunit. The long -awaited film Adaptation of Richard Osmans best -selling novel ”Thursday’s murder club“Is almost here, with Pierce BrosnanThe Helen MirrenBen Kingsley and Celia Imrie play the central lighthouse of Sleuths. Chris Columbus Directs the Netflix function.
“The Thursday Murder Club” centers on neighbors Elizabeth (Mirren), Ron (Brosnan), Ibrahim (Kingsley) and Joyce (Imrie) who spend their time solving cold fall murder for fun. “When an inexplicable death occurs at their own door, their relaxed loop takes an exciting turn when they are with a real whodunit on their hands,” when synopsis teases.
The All-Star role also includes Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell and Ingrid Oliver. The film is the latest project to be produced through Netflix and Amblin Entertainment Partnership.
Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote wrote the script based on Osman’s novel, which was the decade’s best -selling book in the UK and stimulated a series. “The Thursday Murder Club” movie is produced by Columbus and Jennifer Todd, with Osman, Eleanor Columbus, Jo Burn, Holly Bario and Jeb Brody Executive Proding.
Brosnan has recently appeared in Crime film “Fast Charlie” and Western “The Unholy Trinity,” All while we are still waiting for an announcement for “Mamma Mia 3.” At the same time Wowed Mirren in “Yellowstone” Prequel series “1923” and Kingsley led 2023 indie hit “Jules.” These “Thursday murder club” stars are nowhere to be retired, even though they played pensioners in their latest film.
Additional Buzzy Netflix Summer Release includes “Happy Gilmore 2” with Adam Sander, and Charlize Therons Action Movie Return for “The Old Guard 2.” Netflix also recently acquired Richard Linklater’s Cannes movie “Nouvelle Vague”, the Historical Tack of the French New Libra and the filming of Jean-Luc Godard’s “Breathless.” Later this year, “Knives Out 3” and the return of the series “Wednesday”, “Squid Game” and “Stranger Things” will also debut on the platform.
“The Thursday Murder Club” will be suitable to premiere on Thursday August 28 on Netflix. Check out the teaser below.
