Emilia Clarke’s brain aneurysm

Emilia Clarke Filmed battle scenes for Game of Thrones, But in 2019 she published an essay in New Yorker with the title “A battle for my life.”

With a bad headache in the gym, “I reached the toilet, sank on my knees and continued to be violent, voluminously ill,” the actress wrote. “At the same time, the pain – taking care, knife knitting, contracting pain – was getting worse. At some level I knew what was happening: my brain was injured.”

She was taken to the hospital for a brain scan.

“The diagnosis was rapid and ominous: a subarachnoid bleeding (SAH), a life -threatening type of stroke, caused by bleeding in space surrounding the brain,” added the Emmy nominees. “I had had one aneurysman arterial crime. “

Emilia had immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm and called the pain “unbearable”. As she recovered, she continued, she experienced Afasi and “mumbled nonsense.”

A week later, “Afasi passed,” Emilia added, and she left the hospital a month after being admitted.

At a brain scan in 2013, she learned a growth “doubled in size” and that she needed surgery again.

“When they woke me up, I screamed in pain,” she wrote. “The procedure had failed. I had a massive bleeding and the doctors made it clear that my chances of survival were uncertain if they didn’t work again. This time they needed Access to my brain In the old-fashioned way-through my skull. “

Thankfully, Emilia shared, she is now “at one hundred percent.”
