Earlier this month we received any worrying news that Jordanskales fourth function filmPreviously planned to be released in October 2026, had been removed from the calendar.
Variety reported that the Guild strikes had something to do with it when it was first dated to Jul 2024, and although Peele suggested that he knew exactly what he had in mind for his next movie, he is still at work with the project and has not yet rolled cameras.
So what has Peele done? In addition to the launch of the football theme the horror movie “Him” that Peele produced, we got a taste of another secret horror project on Tuesday with an unlikely partner: Hideo Kojima.
Kojima is the creator of the classic franchise “Metal Gear Solid”, but also “”Death“Games like Indieview has been big fans of for their striking cinematic characteristics. His new project, where he collaborated with Peele, is “OD”, and the game’s first teaser shares only a scary scene from the first person’s point of view. The game stars Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier and Hunter Schafer, and we are even curious if it is the role of Peele’s next movie.
The teaser below is quite scary. It shows a playable sequence where the protagonist, through a first personal perspective, is given a red card with instructions through a door and then continues to a shrine with light that the player has to light one by one, with each creative scream and high blows at a door as you continue. We then cut to a close -up of Lillis when a giant, dark figure approaches her and holds her face to monstrous gray hands.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to know how much, if anyone, of Peele’s specific fingerprints is on this particular teaser. The trailer does not have its name anywhere, and Kojima, in a live stream that announces this project, said that “there is another kind of fear Jordan will do; mine is the fear of knock. I’m really afraid of the knock sound!” This suggests that Pee’s contribution may be for a completely different chapter in the game.
Anyway, Kojima-Pele Collab is an exciting. Some of the commentators on the trailer referred to a game that the generally acclaimed “Elden Ring”, as George RR Martin wrote and is now self adapted to a movie. Peele is also rumored at a time to direct a film pass of “Death Stranding”, but “Pig” and “A Quiet Place: Day One” filmmaker Michael Sarnoski will handle it instead.
The second, more sharp comparison can be for another game that Kojima co -produced with the legendary horror director Guillermo del Toro. The game was called “PT”, and it was meant to be a “playable teaser” (PT) for a new payout in “Silent Hill” video play franchise. The short game was released in 2014 for free on Playstation 4, removed a significant praise, but when the planned franchise was canceled, the distributor Konami praised the game from the Playstation store and made it impossible to reinstall.
For this reason, the comments were joking about the “OD” trailer that the title actually translates to “Only Demo.”
Check out the teaser for “OD – Knock” below.
