Netflix Is to honor Black History Month by making theater views free.
Indieview may announce that the Netflix-owned Paris Theater will present a special weekend on Free Community views As part of the “Strong Black Lead at the Paris” series. A total of six features will be shown from February 21; The series ends February 23.
Spike Lee, George C. Wolfe, Tyler Perry, Rebecca Hall and Malcolm Washington are among the directors whose films will be presented. According to a Netflix representative, the curated films were chosen to be powerful features that each offer a Unique perspective on black experiences through American history. “Whether it is based on true stories or inspired by lived experience, these six films of talented, visionary artists are essential viewing,” reads a press release.
Among the “essential viewing” films include Recently Netflix Emissions “The piano lesson“Directed by Malcolm Washington and Tyler Perry’s”The six triple eight“In the lead role in Kerry Washington.
The “piano lesson” is an adaptation of August Wilson’s iconic stage game.
“The Six Triple Eight” is based on a true story and centers on a black female World War II. Perry has an overall deal with Netflix, which was Extended 2024. Perry and “Miracle From Heaven” film creator Devon Franklin will also film act.
“I believe that in this polarizing world, and at a time where the world seems to be colder every day, we both share the common goal of wanting to spread a little well,” Perry said in a Press statement. “And there is no better place than Netflix.”
Netflix also has a lot of award -winning movies as part of the “Strong Black Lead” series.
