Mariah Carey felt feelings deeper than she ever dreamed.
While accepting the icon price at 2025 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC AWARDS On March 17, the superstar shared her gratitude to everyone who has supported her over the years. (See all the stars on the red carpet here.)
But before she started her speech, Mariah asked the most related question to the audience.
“I just want to ask a question-is the lighting ok? Because I don’t like bad lighting,” the 55-year-old said on stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. And after host Ll cool j Assured her that she looked incredible, Mariah added, “Do you like the ensemble?”
Singer “We hear together” – who rocked an elegant black “fit with statement sleeves– Want to share what the award means to her.
“Even now I still get excited when I hear one of my songs played on the radio. It never ends up being magical,” she explained. “I appreciate you all more than you know. And for my fans, my family, you have been with me through every step on this trip. Your love and loyalty is the biggest gift and I am infinitely grateful for each of you.”
