Lizzo becomes vulnerable when it comes to her mental health.
During his first concert in almost two years, singer “Truth Hurts” took a moment to talk about his mental health journey during his time on stage.
“About a year and a half ago I was in such a dark, deep depression,” Lizzo said on stage on March 12 at Wiltern in Los Angeles, seen in a Video shared to x (Former Twitter). “I was so heartbroken by the world and so deeply injured that I didn’t want to live anymore.”
Within a few days after she unpacked her Special Tour in August 2023, three of the “Good as Hell” singer’s former dancers submitted an ongoing trial Against her, the 36-year-old accuses the discrimination against sexual harassment, weight-minging and disability. A month later, her wardrobe stylist Asha Daniels submitted a separate atmosphere against her and claimed racial and sexual harassment.
While the singer has then been dismissed individually from Daniel’s suit (her production company Big Grrl Big Touring Inc remains a respondent in the ongoing case), she admitted that she felt “blinded” by the accusations. And in turn she decided to take one ‘gap years“During which she focused on projects that were not so public.
