It’s the last of ”The last of us“With video game creators Neil Druckmann. The TV Series co-creator announced that he will no longer be part of the HBO show for his third season.
“I have made the difficult decision to go away from my creative commitment to ‘The Last of Us’ at HBO,” wrote Druckmann in a statement that was shared on Officially Naught Dog Instagram account. With the work finished on season 2 and before any meaningful work starts on season 3, now is the right time for me to transfer my full focus to Naughty Dog and its future projects, including writing and directing our exciting next game, ‘Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet’, along with my responsibility as studio manager and head of creative. ”
Druckmann continued, “Co -creation of the show has been a career height. It has been an honor to work together Craig Mazin to Executive Produce, Direct and Writ in the last two seasons. I am deeply grateful for the thought -provoking approach and dedication that the talented role and the crew took to adapt ‘The Last of US’ part I and the continued adaptation of ‘The Last of US’ Part II. ”
Craig Mazin, who together created the HBO series with Druckmann, thanked his partner for the two seasons.

As a real fan of Naughty Dog and Neil’s work in video games, I am very happy to play his next game.
