Kristin Scott Thomas Highlights to make her director’s debut, but is skeptical about whether she liked to draw double service as an actress or not. Thomas recently helped his semi-autobiographical element “My Mother’s Wedding”, which she collects with her husband, Bloomberg News CHEFFRAPTER John Micklethwait. She also plays in film As the title “Mother” character, a surrogate for his own mother; Thomas’ Daughters on the screen are played by Scarlett Johansson (who only made his own director with “Eleanor the Great”), Sienna Miller and Emily Beecham.
“I have been curious about (directing) for a very long time,” said Thomas Hollywood Reporter. “I have worked with many directors who were an actor at some point, and it is always really interesting to me, an actress, because they see both sides. They see what it is like to be in front of the camera, and they see what it is like to be behind the camera, prepping.”
She added, “I find it very difficult to actually get my head around the fact that I made the decisions. It was really difficult for me, because for so long I have been in the position where I run rather than driving. It was quite difficult.”
It was also difficult to act in her own movie: “It was so difficult (directing myself),” Thomas said. “I never want to do it again! It’s just so hard to give other actors what they need, and at the same time observe them.”
