After a three -year interruption, the American Music Awards are back.
Kendrick Lamar led the packaging with 10 nominations for his album “GNX” and Bombshell single “Not Like Us.” Post Malone closely followed the rapper with eight nominations for his country album “F-1 Ation.” Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey all received seven nominations over categories for their respective works this year.
AMA was created by the legendary producer and the visionary Dick Clark in 1974 and engages the audience by letting the fans choose their favorites to win the biggest prizes of the night.
Fans can vote for voteamas.com and about the AMAS profile in all allocation categories. The voting will be closed on Thursday, May 15 just before midnight, with the exception of this year’s cooperation and this year’s social song, which will remain open during the first half hour of the AMAS broadcast.
Jennifer Lopez will host the price exhibition with special guest performances from Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Green Day, Brad Paisley and Samuel L. Jackson to name a few. This will be the first AMAS since 2022.
The return of AMAS follows the aeration of the American Music Award’s 50th anniversary special at CBS in October, which was one of the most monitored entertainment specials of the year, and exceeded 13 million in reach and on average over 6.1 million viewers-up 53% from 2022 Telecast at ABC.
This year’s show will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on May 26 at CBS and is available to stream on Paramount+ with Showtime.
