Almost two months ago Julianne Nicholson Got his indieview performance -Ar, another brand of a year that finally shines the spotlight on The Journeyman actress. Sure, we have always been aware of her talent – she even got a few prizes from prices as part of the ensemble for “August: Osage County” and “I, Tonya,” and a supportive actress Emmy nomination to “Mare of Eastown.” But it’s 2025 now and Julianne Nicholson is a full-fledged TV star.

Last month, Nicholson made both her second and third Emmy -noms for the projects, in the supportive actress in a drama series and guest actress in a comedy series categories.
“I know it’s greedy, but it took me 30 years to come here, so I thought, let’s just start stacking them,” Nicholson said in an interview about Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast.
The star – who has appeared on film and television since 1997, was particularly enthusiastic about how the “hacks” role allowed her to showcase a whole new side of her abilities. “I was so excited … I all the time said to myself:” Guys, I’m actually really fun too! “
She gave full credit to Showrunners Jen Statsky, Paul W. Downs and Lucia Anielo for created the unique, chaotic energy that was a dance mother. “I am so grateful for the three – Jen, Paul and Lucia – to have the imagination to see me in that role and let me live on her. It was such a blast. It’s so fun to go to work and be stupid. And to be in my body, to make physical comedy – which is not often asked about me either.”
The more serious part of “Paradise”, on the other hand, is a similar project – in tone, at least – to Nicholson’s typical production, but she feels that its creator Dan Fogelman (who then respects Nicholson that he imprisoned an Ode to her for her Indieview) know how to sprinkle in the special seasoning that makes it compulsive binge-worthy TV. “I think Dan Fogelman is a brilliant writer, and he only has this condition to know, you know, just to get to the heart of the matter … Although the world around it can seem wide sometimes, or as we have seen before, I feel he knows what many people want to look at, while knowing how to put his finger right on nerve that affects people.
On her Indieview awards In June, Nicholson spoke to her various resume and eclectic taste in projects and resembled the one with the website’s own journalism and said “I believe in trying to find roles that defy stereotypes, trying to show life as it really is, not as we wish it was. And I think basically does Indifire too.”
