Jon Favreau leads Pedro Pascal

The little green guy is back.

The “Star Wars” speech that launched A Million Gifs, Grogu, a.ka. “Baby Yoda” is back in the first teaser for Jon FavreauS “Mandalorian and Grogu“Beat theaters on May 22, 2026. See it below.

This will be a big moment for Lucasfilm, as it will be the first “Star Wars” theater publishing in six and a half years … and a big test for the residence power in its Disney+ Streaming series. Will “The Mandalorian”, who streamed for two loved ones, and a less loved one, seasons on the service that it helped to start successfully translate to the big screen?

A kind of “Star Wars” version of “Lone Wolf and Cub”, with the title character Warrior (Pedro Pascal) who brought in an infant from the same species as Yoda and eventually adopted him as his own, “The Mandalor” was the launch content for Disney+ 2019 and was created by this movie. It has been a groundbreaking series in many respects, especially for its breakthrough to use a LED volume to create realistic backgrounds in place while actors shoot as opposed to compositions in visual effects later. The technology has been adopted by many other series, including the entire suite with “Star Trek” programs on Paramount+.

“The Mandalorian and Grogu” looks very faithful to the series, with the two characters walking the galaxy and getting into adventure. If anything can be a reset to the series status Quo: Mando’s vessel, Razor Crest, was destroyed during season 2, and yet here it is in the teaser that seemed to be restored to life. The Anzellas, small mechanically leaned foreigners who are no bigger than Grogu who held on their hugs (“Bad Baby! No Squeezee!”) In Season 3 is also back.

New this time, however, Sigourney Weaver is as a new republic military official. Given her jacket, it looks like she can be a Starfighter pilot, but time will turn out. It seems that our dynamic duo will move on to the ongoing conflict between the new republic (what Rebel Alliance has been transformed into this period five plus years after “Return of the Jedi”) and the Imperial Remnanten, which we know in the “Ahsoka” series is based on a great conflict with Lars Badd’s Badd’s Baddie.

And also, we get a glimpse for the first time by a muscle -bond Hutt here, who apparently leads its own version of Galaxy Father, far away UFC Octagon, which has been generally reported by Jeremy Allen White. From “The Iron Claw” to the Hutt clan.
