Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks Keep it in the family after a terrible murder. The much -awaited prime video Limited series ”The better sister“Alafair Burkes takes the best -selling novel to life with the two actresses leading (and executive producing) The Thriller Show.
Biel plays Chloe, a high -profile media manager who seems to have the perfect life with his lawyer Adam (Corey Stoll) and TeenSson Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan). The only spot on Chloe’s family is her foreign sister Nicky (Banks), who is struggling to stay clean. But after Adam is brutally murdered, Chloe realizes that she must have Nicky by her side to solve the case. The official synopsis annoys that the “main suspect sends shock waves through the family and reunites the two sisters as they try to loosen a complicated family history to discover the truth behind his death.”
Kim Dickens, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Bobby Naderi, Gabriel Sloyer, Gloria Reuben, Matthew Modine and Lorraine Toussaint co -star.
The series will debut with all eight episodes, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Tomorrow Studios (part of ITV Studios). Olivia Milch (“Ocean’s 8”) and Regina Corrado (“Mayor of Kingstown”) are executive producers and co-showrunners.
Craig Gillespie leads and executive produces with Annie Marter through happy Jack Productions together with executive producers Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner through Tomorrow Studios (one piece). Lead Stars Biel and Banks are also EPS, as is Michelle Purple and Kerry Orent.
Biel recently played in the Hulu series “Candy” from creators Robin Veith and Nick Antosca and USA Network Anthology series “The Sinner.” She also produced Teen Mystery “Cruel Summer.”
