In its HBO documentary in 2013 Life is just a dreamBeyonce recalled that she found out that she had a missed miscarriage, where no symptoms are identified before an ultrasound or Doppler reveals the heartbreaking discovery.
“Literally, the week before, I went to the doctor. Everything was fine,” she said. “But there was no heartbeat.”
Beyonce poured his heart and sadness in his work, wrote and recorded the ballad 2013 “Heartbeat.”
“I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life,” the singer said in the documentary. “It was the best form of therapy for me because it was a saddest thing I have ever gone through.”
Told Beyonce later Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s next chapter“I felt that there are so many couples going through it and that was a big part of my story.”
Her experience also affected her next pregnancy. She continued, “That’s one of the reasons I didn’t share. Celebrated.
The singer said she was living in fear during her pregnancy with Blue Ivy. “But my doctor told me that I was completely healthy and wasn’t crazy and paranoid and living my life,” she said, “and that’s what I did.”
2019, Beyoncé said in a question and answer in Älte Magazine, “Having miscarriage taught me that I had to mom myself before I could be the mother of someone else. Then I had Blue, and the pursuit of my purpose became so much deeper. I died and was reborn in my relationship and pursuit after myself became even stronger.
