Even without checking out “The White Lotus” for Season 3, Jennifer Coolidge are still stuck with criminals on the screen in dark comedy ”Riff Raff. “
Coolidge plays ex-wife to a previous mobster, played by Ed Harriswho is trying to warn their family that two gangsters (Pete Davidson and Bill Murray) from their past is looking to get them.
The official synopsis reads: “Vincent (Harris) is an ex-crime that more than something just wants a normal, peaceful life. He and his wife Sandy (Gabrielle Union) have built a loving family with his son DJ (Miles J. Harvey) and spends the winter break in a cabin before going to college. Chaos follows when Vincent’s existing son Rocco (Lewis Pullman), his girlfriend Marina (Emanuela Postacchini) and Vincent’s ex-wife Ruth (Coolidge) suddenly appear to destroy the festivities with an ominous warning: the famous gangster’s left (Murray) and Lonnie ( Davidson) comes to them. ”
Michael Angelo Corvino also plays in the holiday set that debuted at TIFF in the special presentations section.
Dito montiel (“a guide to recognize your saints”) leads film With a script by John Pollono. “Riff Raff” is produced by Noah Rothman, Sarah Gabriel, Marc Goldberg and Adam Paulsen.
The Indieview review Considered Coolidge to be the “true standout” among the ensemble role, with the review partly and reads, “(the movie) is a comedy of manners with a strange mixed family and a rosencrantz and Guildenstern-style humor between left and lonely when they are going up in the coast. ”
“Riff Raff” ensemble has collectively (and separately) been busy: Murray appeared in Telluride Hit “The Friend”, While Harris played in Sundance has “Love Lies Bleeding.” Pullman got viral for its turn in “Skin Care” will be shown in “Thunderbolts” and even publicly offered to replace Joaquin Phoenix In Todd Haynes’ Sheled Queer-Romanance. (Phoenix dropped of the movie five days before production began; The film would also start Pullman’s colleague “Top Gun: Maverick” actor Danny Ramirez.)
“I would like to get that call,” Pullman said about going into Phoenix’s role. “It’s a brilliant idea. I’m here. I’m here. I’m ready. “
