Jenna Ortega on working with Lady Gaga in ‘Wednesday’

The ever so busy Jenna Ortega come to Austin, Texas to celebrate the world premiere to her A24 film “Death of a Unicorn” on SXSW. The film, written and directed by Alex Scharfman, follows Dad Daughter duo, played by Paul Rudd And Ortega, when they met a unicorn when they drove to a mini-retreat.

At the end of 2024, Ortega wrapped to film the second season of NetflixS “Wednesday.” Just weeks before the element was announced that Lady Gaga would join season 2. Her character details are held under cover, although it is expected that the role is more of a como.

“It’s the best,” Ortega told Indiewire to work with Lady Gaga. “She is the best, definitely one of the most talented individuals I have ever worked with. It was just a really, really special environment to be there with her and Tim (Burton), two people I respect and have been inspired by so much.”

“Then just find out that she is such a sweetheart and really kind and reserved, it is very strange,” she continued. “I love that you never know what to expect from her, but you can always expect kindness and generosity.”

Ortega had praised an iconic dance scene during the first season of “Wednesday” where she danced to Lady Gaga’s 2011 -Hit “Bloody Mary.” When it comes to whether Ortega talked to the “Mayhem” singer about it, she says, “No, actually we didn’t. I don’t think we should.

“I don’t want to give away anything about being part of the show,” Gaga told Entertainment Weekly to work with the series. “I want to keep it extra secret – but I love Jenna, and I really had an amazing time!”

Ortega has further annoyed that the new season of “Wednesday”, which takes director Tim Burton back into the fold, leans further into the horror elements and has episodes that each feels like a mini movie. “Wednesday” season 1 remains the most watched English-language show in the Netflix history, behind only “octopus games” for most views of any show.

“Death of a Unicorn” will be released in theaters on March 28. Look at the trailer here.
