Jenna Ortega is back with Tim Burton

Wednesday“Season 1 established Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton as a fresh creative duo, but Overwhelming Cash Office’s success of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” has proven that their success was far from a fluke. The film has only raised expectations for season 2 of the “Addams Family” -inspired Netflix Series and a new teaser for the season have given the fans their first look at the latest party of episodes.

Netflix has now revealed that season 2 of “Wednesday” will be divided into two parts. Part 1 returns on August 6, 2025 and part 2 returns on September 3.

The first teaser opens with a sequence of Wednesday that goes through the airport’s security and is stopped and recovered by a TSA agent. She reveals an embarrassing number of deadly weapons and torture devices on her person, but her real cardinal sin is to bring a small pipe with sunscreen. It also shows Wednesday to return to Nevermore – the first school she has ever returned to a second time – reunites with her Perky Roomie Enid and stares down a terrible demon.

“You don’t have to worry about me mom,” says Wednesday in the trailer. “I do my best work in the dark.”

Burton is on board to direct four episodes of the new season, which Ortega has previously teased Will Feel even more cinematic than the predecessor.

“I have received some scripts for the second season, and we definitely lean on to more horror,” Ortega said in an interview in January 2024 with AND! Beginner. “It’s really, really exciting because, the whole show, while Wednesday needs a little bow, she never really changes, and that’s the wonderful thing about her.” There are really, really good single -feeders, and I think everything is bigger. It is much more action -filled. Each episode will probably feel a bit more like a movie, which is nice. “

In addition to Ortega returning as Wednesday Addams with the stars Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the new season will present the feature. Lots of new faces. Steve Buscemia has joined the role of a series regularly, with such as Lady Gaga, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor and Joonas Suotamo come on board as guest stars.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, “Wednesday” was an instant hit when it premiered on Netflix in 2022, and quickly became one of the top ten series in Streamer’s history within two weeks. It is currently the most guarded single season of an English -language show on Netflix ever, behind just the first season of “Squid Game.” With Ortega’s star that just keeps rising since then, there is nothing that says how big season 2 can be.
