Ike Barinholtz is one of ten acting nominated From “The Studio” this year and one of the 23 total nominations Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s comedy received. In the rough inner-hollywood rome, he plays Sal Saperstein, an ambitious VP that is mostly in it to party with celebrity and who, in an episode that was put on the Golden Gloles, is in an inexplicable way thanks on the stage by almost every winner all overnight, Matt).
When The studio was nominated for all these Emmys, I looked in the reaction statements from all nominees. I don’t Understand why no one thanked Sal Saperstein.
It’s really disrespectful. I was obviously beaten by the lack of mention. I can only assume that they will save it for when they eventually win.
You should probably talk to them before the show.
Yes. We will make an awards ceremony where I personally visit each nominee and tell them what is at stake if they forget to mention the hall.
Do you compare notes with your colleagues acting nominated Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard?
I haven’t checked in with these guys yet. But I saw Marty’s reaction on Instagram and he seemed to be really flattered. I just hope the guys get a break. It has been tough for them in the show industry, and I think it would only be nice for Ron and Marty to have some kind of recognition in this industry at some point.

It’s a little crazy, for The studio got five of the six nominees in the guest actor and one in the guest actress, and yet I did not Think, “Oh, wow, that’s a lot.” I thought, “Why not Sarah Polley and Olivia Wilde come in too? “
Honestly, really, yes. As if I’m proud of everyone. Zoë is incredible – she gave everything her. But the two in particular, Sarah and Olivia, I thought were without a doubt the two best guests we had all year. So they have to get back in season 2.
Do you have a wish list for season 2?
When it comes to actors, I think Leo would be very funny. I know he doesn’t like to do lots of things, but he’s the biggest movie star around. Timmy C. would be good. Get some chal, chal in the chat.
And then, you know, I love the directors we wear. So let’s keep that train going. Would love to see Steven Spielberg there. Would love to see the Coen brothers. Bigelow, PTA. Quentin!
Come on, QT, move on here!
You aim high. But I guess when you start with scorsese In the first section, why not?
Literally we have Scorsese, Charlize and Steve Buscemi in the last (stage). So it’s like, we have to raise, which is tough.
To make the show, it must be a kick to have this infinite bike Of people who come through and make these murderers guest places.
Oh, yes. Season 1, because it is a new show, sometimes you have to pull a little harder to convince people, but hopefully now people will see that if you get on the show you will have fun. You will look cool or look like you have a good mind for yourself. So hopefully it will be even easier to get some of the people for season 2.
In addition, they can get an Emmy nomination.
The odds are that you get an Emmy nomination, so why not? And we give you your own half trailer. And the craft table is good.
When you got scripts, you had a feeling of “Ok, I know Who Sal is “From the beginning?
Yes. I love the way (Rogen and Goldberg) write, and I love the way in one or two lines early, you can tell you what this character is about. The first time you meet him is he like, “Hi, I smell like vodka? I was out partying with Pedro Pascal all night.”
Immediately it told me: “You know this guy. You’ve had drinks with this guy. This guy made an inappropriate joke when he came to the set to visit.” This is a party guy who loves his job, who may have exceeded his welcome a bit.
Have people in the industry said to you: “Oh, yes, I know lots of Frost ”?
Oh, yes. And I’ve heard from some guys who are Sals that are like “Hi, man, it was so fun, really good character.” And I am, “Yes, it’s a bit based on you a bit.” (Laugh)
You’ve already won “Celebrity Jeopardy!“And “who wants Be a millionaire. “How would win an Emmy compare in Conditions for satisfaction?
I mean winning them was incredible. Being able to give that money to charity was a dream. They are different levels of happiness, but I am humble and honored to even be in the conversation. I could also sell Emmy and use that money for charity, so it would be like being on one of these programs.
I wonder if maybe we should start a new acronym in egot style for Emmy, “Jeopardy!” And “Who wants to become a millionaire.“
I would call it ego. Replace T in Tony, which is tough. I’m not doing Broadway right now and I don’t see it happening in the foreseeable future. But, you know, Emmy, Grammy-I have my collection of spoken words coming out Oscar and then Game Show. So ego is what I’m trying to get started.
I was going to be more specific and do something like Jem for “Jeopardy!,” Emmy and “Millionaire.“
Oh, that’s good. So “Jeopardy!”, Emmy, “Millionaire” and then we need another. I think these are both very viable.
