‘I know I’m not him’


Closed Morgan is back, officially, now that Paramount+ with showtime dropped the first episode of “Dexter: Resurrection“On Friday July 11. Michael C. Hall has played Dexter now, on and off, since 2006. While Hall has certainly appeared in many other projects during the 19 years since the pilot was broadcast – from “The Crown” to “Sure” and “game night” – the “Dark Passenger” (Dexter’s nickname for his thirst to kill) has been character that he just can’t shake, even if he Safe Vanity Fair In an interview that leaves Dexter’s unmatched properties on the set.

Hall, however, speculates on why he can play the character, for which he has received six Emmy nominations, so good.

“I’m Not Crazy; I Know I KNOW HIM. I KNOW he does not actually exist. He’s just words on a page, and a character, and an idea that remains a mysterious one for me. When asked by Vanity Fair what his “dark passengers” were, Hall replied, “none of your business.”

Hall also described the new season – which moves the action from Los Angeles to New York City – as an opportunity for the character to have “a second chance in life”, saying that Dexter “has finally been released from what has been a burdensome relationship with his past.”
