Harrison Ford comes for another golden idol.
At 83 years old, Harrison Ford has been nominated for his first Emmy. The legendary actor received a nomination for outstanding support actors in a comedy series for Apple TV +’s “shrinking.” Was Ford to take home Emmy, it would mark his first great actor.
Ford stars with Jason Sail in “Shrinking”, and plays a colleague by Jimmy Laird (sail), a therapist who changes his attitude to treating his patients in the wake of a personal tragedy. Sailing created the show together with Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, including collaborators at “Ted Lasso.” Ford’s character, Paul Rhoades, confronts mortality and adapts to life with Parkinson’s disease.
Last year, “shrinking” picked only two Emmy nominations, for sails in the main actor and Jessica Williams to support actress. Both actors scooped up nods again this year and were united by Michael Urie, who got a place to support the actor. “Shrinking” was also nominated for outstanding comedy series, casting and sound mixture.
During his long career in Hollywood, Ford has played a number of iconic characters. He started acting in the 1960s before showing up in projects such as George Lucas “American Graffiti” and Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Conversation” in the mid-70s. His career sky rocketed when he showed up as Han Solo in 1977’s “Star Wars”, which he soon followed with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Blade Runner.”
In 1985, Ford played in Peter Weir’s “witness” as detective captain John Book. This role was given its first, and so far only Oscar nomination for best actors. Ford has been recognized with a number of awards for honor and lifetime at different ceremonies, including one Honor Palme d’O or At the Cannes Film Festival 2023.
