Gene Hackman and Mrs. Betsy Arakawa Found Died February 26, 2025
Genhackman and his wife in 33 years, Betsy ArakawaFound dead in their Santa Fe, NM, home on February 26 by two maintenance workers who spied their bodies through a window outside the house. According to the authorities, they warned the caretaker in the gated community where the couple lived and that person called 911.
“No, they are not moving,” said the one who called 911 per a sound recording. “Please send someone here quickly.”
When Santa Fe County Sheriff’s alternates arrived, they found Arakawa, 65, on the floor of a bathroom to the left of the front door. She was dressed in a sweater and sweaters, according to a February 27 keyword declaration obtained by E! News, and there was an open prescription pill bottle and loose pills scattered on the countertop.
Hackman, 95, was on the floor in what alternates described as a clay room near the kitchen, according to the warrant. A hiking rotation and sunglasses near the body.
One of the couple’s three dogs – iitially misidentified as their German shepherd bearIt was actually their Australian Kelpie -Mix Zinna – found dead in a wardrobe of the bathroom, according to the commander. Another healthy dog was found near Arakawa’s body and the other, also seemingly healthy, ran around outside.
A search order was executed on the house around 21:30 February 26 and Hackman and Arakawa’s bodies were removed the following morning.
