For two decades, animation author Genndy Tartakovsky has driven the boundaries of the children’s animation through beloved shows such as “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Samurai Jack.” In recent years he has largely abandoned the restrictions on pediatric media completely, with his latest projects such as “Samurai Jack” Restart And “Primal” which is broadcast on Cartoon Network’s adult bathing blocks and indulged in violence and Gore suited the adults who grew up and watched and loved their old classics. His latest project, function film “Fixed“Is mature in a completely different wayTell a dog story with wild pueril and dirty sexual humor. And it is on full screen in the director’s cut trailer, as Netflix Released this Thursday.
Directed by Tartakovsky and co -written by him and Jon Vitti (best known for his work with “The Simpsons”), “Fixat” focuses on 24 hours in Bull’s life (expressed by Adam Devine), a good Saledblodhund with a habit of humming everyone around them. When he discovers that his owner will castrate him, he travels out to the city with other dogs in his neighborhood to go into a last wild night with his balls while he still has them. The red bandwagon shows what it means, and it includes: squirrels are graphically torn up and eaten, rats chewing on comically large dog genes and an extended sequence with female dog “strippers.”
Tartakovsky’s first traditional 2D -animated film after directing several “Hotel Transylvania” films for Sony Pictures animation, “Fixed” comes to Netflix after a long and difficult process to find distribution. Tartakovsky originally perceived the film in 2009, and it was announced in 2018 after the success of his three “Hotel Transylvania” films. Made by Sony, the film was originally set to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures through their new Line Cinema Distribution Arm, just to be dropped and have its theater edition interrupted in 2024. Netflix would ultimately save the filmacquire the rights for the earlier this year.
Apart from Devine, “Fixed” has a large ensemble vote that includes Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau and River Gallo. The film originally premiered at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 11 and will premiere on Netflix August 13. See the entire trailer below.
