long—Aka “Nanny” – is Todd’s mother.
“I am blessed over dimensions that God chose you to be my mother,” he wrote on Instagram for Mother’s Day 2021. “I love you more than you will ever know and you fill my heart with love, hope, faith and trust.”
Born in September 1944 Nanny grew up in South Carolina. She married army veteran Gene Chrisleyand they welcomed sons Todd, Randy Chrisley and Derrick ChrisleyThe latter died when he was a child. Gen also died in 2012.
During Chrisley knows bestNanny caught the hearts of the fans with her humorThe Fun times with sister French (WHO Died 2022), dating adventure and advice. Whether she met the casino, raised a glass of wine or spent time with the family, she proved to the viewers that she knows how she would be doing well.
However, Nanny has gone through difficult times as well. In addition to Todd and Julie’s beliefs, Nanny was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. But two years later, she shared that she had overcome her health struggle.
“I’m in remission, thankfully,” Nanny said in a section 2023 by Lindsie’s podcast The southern teaper People. “I’ve been out and moved and done the best I can.”
To do the best she can have been grandchildren’s attitude to life in general.
“The world doesn’t always give you a good card tire to play with, so you play with them the best you can,” she said on Savannah’s podcast Unlocked. “You get up, brush yourself and continue.”
