Bruce Springsteen comes to AFI party.
The American Film Institute announced on Thursday that its annual film festival will open with Jeremy Allen White-led “Springsteen: liver me from Nowhere.” Springsteen Biopic, which focuses on Rock Legend’s time to create its acclaimed album “Nebraska”, will play October 22 for the festival’s opening evening.
“Deliver me from nowhere” is written/directed by Scott Cooper, whose previous project includes “Crazy Heart”, “Black Mass”, “Hostiles” and “Antlers.” Joining the star of “The Bear” in the music biopics is Jeremy Strong (plays Springsteen -Manager Jon Landau), Paul Walter Hauser (like “Nebraska” recording engineer Mike Batlan), Stephen Graham (depicts Springsteen’s father, Douglas) and Odesa Young. The rollist also includes Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz, Johnny Cannizzaro, Harrison Gilbertson and Chris Jaymes.

This is not the first festival “Deliver me from Nowhere” has stood up for a screening. The movie will serve at the limelight gala at New York Movie Festival In September. On September 28, White, Scott, Strong and Young will participate in a view of the film at NyFF with Springsteen itself.
Afi party cuts it a little closer. “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” will be released in theaters across the country of the 20th century studios on October 24. This is only two days after the film’s Los Angeles-Set screening at AFI Fest.
“Afi party is the stage and screens where the world’s stories gather in Hollywood,” said Bob Gazzale, AFI’s president and CEO, in a statement. “To open with ‘Springsteen: deliver me from nowhere’ honors the global effect of an American icon and the real artist’s work required to tell his story.”
The 39th AFI party will run October 22-26 2025, in LA a full festival lineup will be revealed on September 30, with individual tickets sold on October 6. Afi Fest Passes are now available.
