Sarah Michelle Gellar details how the Oscar prize winner Chloé Zhao changed the idea of a ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer“Reboot.
Gellar, who has publicly been against a revival for several yearsIs officially intended to repeat its titular role as Buffy Summers for a new Hulu series, with Zhao leading the pilot. “Poker Face” writer Nora and Lilla Zuckerman write the show, which comes from 20th TV and Searchlight TV Where Zhao has a first look. Gellar said that the revival has been in works for four years. “We will not do it if it is not 100 percent right and there is 100 percent a reason,” she added. “The whole point of an anti -hero is to be a hero for those people who do not fit into the box, the people who are not like everyone else. That’s what I want to tell stories for.”
And although not much else is known about the revival, Gellar confirmed that all log lines or casting rumors are false. “It’s all false characters,” she said. “The thing released is all false.”
Gellar teased under ”Drew Barrymore Show“2024 that she was inspired by other early 2000s revival series to visit” Buffy. “It’s funny, I always used to say no, because it’s in her bubble and it’s so perfect,” she said you look at “Sex and the city” and see “Dexter” and realize that there are ways to do it, you definitely get to think, “Well.” (…) and it makes you realize that we in this world need these.
