Film Is an industry event held every April in Las Vegas for theater owners, designed to make them happy to book a given Studios film on their screens, But more and more it has become more related to something like Comiccon. Fanboy bloggers participate to be the first to see pictures from upcoming movies, often months before something is released for the public online. And we as journalists spend time describing the pictures we saw, how the audience reacted and what the studio mass has to say about everything.
Now the cinemas are doing our job for us. Choose cinemas across the country will show what they say is “Best of Cinemacon 2025”, a curated presentation of trailersExtended scenes and other campaigns that you can watch in your local theater before the pictures are eventually played before an actual movie sometime on the road.
Protectors who buy a ticket (yes, you have to buy a ticket, more about it below) will see about 70 minutes trailers – not really the length of a real movie, but you will still need a babysitter – with some other pictures thrown in. It showed the content are things that we all special people got to see for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and maybe some things just for this audience. The pictures will be a mixture of PG, PG-13 and R-ranked previews of films coming out in summer and autumn, but specific films or studios that participate must be a surprise.
Included? Probably lots of good things. We saw the first look at ”Avatar: Fire and Ash“Bruce Springsteen Biopic”Deliver me from nowhere“The Naked Gun ”recording“Ceiling“With Channing Tatum,”The running man“With Glen Powell,”Wicked: For good“Maggie Gyllenhaals”The bride“And so much more.
The special presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 22 and again on April 24 and will be shown at thousands of theaters across the country. Tickets are only $ 3 and are for sale now, and as a nice touch, revenue from the presentation to charities, including Variety – The Children’s Charity, Will Rogers Motion Pioneers Foundation, Canadian Picture Pioneers and The Cinema Foundation.
The Cinema Foundation is the non-profit arm for Cinema United (formerly NATO), which is hosted every year for Cinemacon and puts on this sneak peek-showcase.
“Sneak Peek Showcase helps to get a little taste of the famous industry-inide event Cinemacon for movie lovers with a fun look at the upcoming theater slate,” says Bryan Braunlic, Cinema Foundation CEO. “For the first time, film guests will catch a glimpse of the most awaited films soon that will come to their neighborhood theaters in a program. We are proud to have revenue benefit industry organizations, and we are grateful for the support of our sponsors, Fandango and Coca-Cola Company.”
The Cinema Foundation 2025 is trying to get more people out to theaters by offering a number of special marketing days. Among them are date night @ the movies that will offer discounts for couples on August 19 and Family Day @ the movies for … you guessed it, families, November 9th. Back on January 19 was National Popcorn Day, which allowed unlimited popcorn replenishment for people who went to the theater that day.
