For 35 years, American pavilion have given new generations of future film Industries – from Ryan Coogler to Jeff Nichols – their first taste of life in Biz with the legendary Cannes student programs. Recently, Ampav has done the same for Venice Film festival, with its Venice Intensive Student Program, which runs in 2025 from August 26 to September 3.
Now is the last week to apply for Venice’s intensive program 2025.
The Venice Film Festival Is the oldest film festival in the world, and it has become increasingly important in recent years as the unofficial kickoff for the award. This is where the latest best picture winners “The Shape of Water” and “Nomadland” made their world premieres, where Emma Stone began her “bad things” trip to win the best actress Oscar, and where only last year “The Brutalist” began his award season.
Students and recently alums applying for Ampav’s Venice -intensive can be there on the first steps to Oscars for the season’s biggest films – all while enjoying one of the most beautiful cities in the world and enjoying opportunities that are only available to those enrolled in the program.
