Changes come into being AMCThe A-list that gives you more, but for more money.
AMC raises the prices for its AMC Stub’s A-list Movie subscription services, but with the higher monthly fee, subscribers will have access to see a further movie every week. Changes to the plan will apply on May 7th, just in time for Summer film season. CEO Adam to Announced the changes in a letter to the A-list members on Thursday, February 6.
Currently, A-list subscribers may watch three movies a week, with prices for customers in New York and California to $ 24.95/month. AMC raises that price to $ 27.99/month, and in other states where prices vary, monthly membership will now cost between $ 19.99 to $ 25.99. However, the improved membership will enable up to four visits per week, in all formats, including Dolby Cinema and IMAX.
The revised A-list will also contain a new profile picture in the app so you do not need to show a separate photo ID at checkout, and people as young as 13 can now become A-list members. Time to get some Teens on the Nicole Kidman band.
“Even with this necessary price adjustment, in most cases the cost of an A-list membership will be less than watching two movies per month as a non-member, especially so if you watch a movie in our premium format and/or buy your tickets online , “Aron wrote in his letter to the members. “Furthermore, your A-list membership will continue to offer the same major benefits that you currently have, such as free ticket reservations online, prioritized lanes, free popcorn and font end pressure sizes upgrades and $ 5 rewards for each $ 50 spent on tickets and concessions. “
For those who do not want to pay the higher fees, AMC introduces a narrower subscription package which will also be launched on May 7: AMC A-List Classic. According to that plan, you only get one movie per week, but to $ 14.99/month+tax. That deal will only be available on regular AMC theaters as opposed to dinner options.
This change comes shortly after AMC introduced yet another new loyalty program Tier: AMC Stubs Premiere Go! That plan is free, just like the most basic AMC Stubs loyalty program, but now you can earn double points on purchases and get additional benefits – if you watch at least eight films during a calendar year.
AMC will report its quarterly results on February 25, when Aron is likely to handle some of these changes further.
