Summer has come to 2025 TV scheduleWhich often means the arrivals of some of the most awaited streaming TV programs. Like a fan of Chicago fire on network -TV that has been known for dabbing in Station 19 and 9-1-1I had a feeling that Apple TV+s flame -filled Smoke with Taron Egerton would be right up in my alley. After Streamer released a trailer with some exciting pictures and reminders of the amazing Black birdBut I see that I had no idea what I was in and Smoke Have become one of my must-see shows in the summer.
What can I say? About the team from Black bird come back together for SmokeI can’t see the new project go up in flames.
What one might expect from smoke
The new crime drama was created and written by Dennis Lehane, with Taron Egerton as a murder investigator Dave God and Jurnee Smollett as police detective Michelle Calderone. Based on the trailer (seen above) they will have a complicated relationship, to say at least! The rollist will also contain such as Rafe Spall, ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Hannah Emily Anderson, Anna Chlumsky, Adina Porter, Greg Kinnar and John iguizamo.
The story follows the God and Calderone as they reluctantly cooperate to try to stop two fire papers who seem to make burning devastation in the area. Even if Smoke Is a fictional story, the new drama was inspired by the truth. Media’s “Firebug” podcast. The first two episodes will be released on Friday, June 27, followed by one episode per week until August 15.

Why Black Bird is a favorite streaming trill all the time
Almost exactly three years before Smoke will have the premiere of all viewers with one Apple TV+ subscriptionThe Black bird kicked by the story of Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton), which makes an appeal to get out of his own prison if he can get a full Confession from serial killer and rapist Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser, who won the Critics Choice Award, Emmy and Golden Globe for best actors for the role) behind stacks. The series also played Sepidah Moafi as Jimmy’s FBI manager, Greg Kinnar as Police Detective Brian Miller and Ray Liotta as Jimmy’s father in one of Goodfellas the last performances of the star before his death.
This was not an action -packed crime thriller that consisted of six sections of riots and explosions and weapons fillings in abundance, but rather a cooling miniserry that really remains. Until three years later, I remember living pictures from Egerton’s Jimmy isolated and tried to frenetically recreate Hall’s map in his own blood before forgot the finer details. There was no really happy ending, without any of the burial sites from the map being discovered, and the show was an intense experience.
So as a fan of crime drama I would be optimistic for all projects that reunite the creative team behind Black birdthat includes Dennis Lehane once again as a writer/creator and Taron Egerton once again as a star/executive producer. SmokeThe trailer adds just – sorry the wording – fuel to the fire. I am officially psyched for the new show.
