The real partners lead Michael Shanks’ Sundance Hit ”Together“That undermines romantic drama conventions thanks to one Body horror turn. Franco and Brie play Tim and Millie, a couple moving across the country just to be more dependent on each other than ever. Damon Herriman stars too.
The Official synopsis Reads: “Year into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Franco and Brie) are at a crossroads when they move to the country. To abandon everything that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions that are already flushing, a marked meeting with a mysterious, unnatural power threatens to corrupt their lives, their love.”
Franco, who Formerly directed Mrs. Brie in the horror movie “The Rental” And the 2023 romanticism “Someone I used to know,” told indifire That “together” was a first for them. The duo also produces filmTogether with Mike Cowap, Andrew Mittman, Erik Feig, Julia Hammer, Tim Headington and Max Silva.
“This was like the most complete thing we’ve ever done together,” Franco said. “We are very picky about what we choose to do, especially when we are on the screen together, just because we don’t want to burn people on us.”
“Together” premiered at Sundance, where it was acquired by Neon. Indieview review From Kate Eridhel, the film considered a “wonderfully unpleasant spin” on genre features. Blanded, they teased the “fuzzy, gross entertainment” by the “audience -needy (and -creaming) little ditty of a midnight treatment.”
