2025 Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX, has revealed its short films range – including a reunion between “X” actor Kid Cudi And director You west. This year Music centric Tribeca Festival contains features from Miley Cyrus, Billy Joel and more. On the short side, Cudi and West collaborated on music video “Neverland” with JordanskaleMonkeypaw Productions that produce.
The Tribeca festival 2025 will take place June 4-15 in New York City. In total, the festival will premiere 93 short films. 2025 Tribeca shorts program Also break their own registers for submissions due to an extended authority to include projects previously shown in New York or online for consideration of competition.
The festival also introduces an introductory shorts cinema at spring studios that are devoted to just screena de programmed shorts. Shorts Cinema and Storytelling Summit will take place on the same floor at Spring Studios.
The programming extends from narrative shorts to documentary shorts, animated shorts to music videos. 2025 Shorts lineup will contain 93 choices from 105 filmmakers, including 82 films in competition and 10 music videos. This year’s program extends over 30 countries, including the first election from Ecuador, Zimbabwe and Curaçao. Among the elections are 49 world premieres, five international premieres, eight North American premieres and 19 New York premieres. The lineup also welcomes five board members who return to Tribeca with their latest projects. Shorts -Programalum has included Emmy -nominated David Gelb, Oscar -Nominated Ryan Coogler and Oscar Domee Shi, with 25 Oscar nominations and 12 wins including 2024’s “In the Shadow of the Cypress” among the Shorts.
This year’s program has Manya Glassman’s “How I Learned To Die”, who is the executive produced by Oscar winner Spike Lee, as well as Mary Pryor and Mara Whitehead’s “Kiss My Grass”, produced by Rosario Dawson and Colin Kaeprnick.
