Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has deducted its own impressive performance by announcing that its board has approved the creation of an annual Competitive Academy Award for Achievement in Stunt Design, with the category initial Oscar published in 2028 at the 100th Academy Award for performance for performance at the 100th Academy AwardsHonor films released in 2027.
“Since the early days of cinema, Stuntdesign has been an integral part of filmmaking,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang via statement. “We are proud to honor the innovative work for these technical and creative artists, and we congratulate them for their commitment and commitment to achieve this important occasion.”
Rules for eligibility and vote for the Stunt Design Award will be announced in 2027 as part of the complete 100th Academy Awards rules. The specifications in the award’s presentation will be determined by the Academy’s Board of Directors and executive leadership on a future date.
The announcement follows the latest establishment of the performance in Casting Oscar, created in 2024 and began with the 98th Academy Awards for films released in 2025.
