It seems like after a season of Roofing and A 50th anniversary It went out, the actor and the crew of “Saturday Night Live“May have exhausted a bit. For yesterday’s episode, host of the latest Oscar winner Mikey Madison And with the controversial musical guest Morgan Wallen (who suddenly went off the stage during the show’s goodbye), the episode felt as if it were a bit on Auto-Pilot, revival characters that really should not have been taken back and rush through each sketch as if humor was not worth holding on.
The night began (predictable so) with a cold open that highlighted our current government’s latest Gaffe who involved defense secretary Pete Hegseth who sent attack plans to a group chat that included the editor of “The Atlantic.” In this version of the events, Hegseth, played by Andrew Dismukes, ends up canceling the text chain for a group of high school girls. It was a simple laugh, but also extremely gloomy considering reality in our current circumstances.
Marcello Hernandez has really become a prominent among the role this season, but when the first sketch of the night stopped becoming a record of his actor that he introduced earlier in “SNL 50” when Charli XCX Worth, you couldn’t help but wonder if the author’s staff were so tired, they just couldn’t care about coming up with something new. It’s not that the sketch did not have his fun moments, especially when Hernandez chews the landscape, but the notion of an acting class for advertising led by a self -enhancing teacher is both for baseball and in some way so obvious that every laugh comes as almost a courtesy.
There were some prescription pieces on yesterday’s “Saturday night live”, no one showed the memorable, but the most entertaining was “Big Dumb Line.” The shit contained Madison, Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang as a group of urban friends who are obsessed with spending their days online for places that were recently lit on social media. This is a trend that has become too familiar and how the bit mocks our appetite for these fashion flutes is right on the money, especially when it points to the fact that what these people are waiting in a row may not be so worth it. A look by Joe Jonas on one in the video makes the overall appeal, but still “Big Dumb line” makes a very related quality that reduces us all in size.
Not many of the living sketches really landed 100% last night and although “Jury Duty” is not different, it reminds us what it is like to look at a live -ski show, with all unknown mishaps that can take place at the moment that gives the overall humor of the piece. The set for the bit is not different with “auditions” videos “SNL” has been known for trotting out, which allows their role and hosts to embrace their imitation skills, but this time the point is less about what does what makes celebrity their game so boiling and more about how Kooky ourselves have done so that we can have a functional rights. With Ego Nwodim as a judge, Madison and the members of the role every step up to offer themselves to the jury, either do everything to get out of it or be so outside the walls out there to have them in a jury would be a crime in itself.
