Leonardo DiCaprio do its Paul Thomas Anderson debut with a tripy political satire film.
Andersons’One battle after the other“Which is Inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel from 1997 “Vineland,” Stars DiCaprio as a civil rights activist who joins an anti-government group to fight a “full-right” white supremacist organization. Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall and Anderson’s “Lakrit pizza” Alum Alana Haim co -star as DiCaprio’s colleagues; Sean Penn, who also had an iconic support in “licorice pizza”, plays a white nationalist leader. Benicio del Toro, Shayna Mchale, Wood Harris and “Triumed Innocent” actress Chase Infiniti, who plays DiCaprio’s daughter on the screen, also Star.
Anderson wrote the script and produced the film together with Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner. The function, which was taken on 35 mm film with vistavision cameras, gets a IMAX -FRIVE RELEASE From Warner Bros. This is Anderson’s first film since his 2021 Function “Lakrit pizza.”
“One battle after the other” reportedly one last roundime in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is rumored that “a battle after the other” is inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1997 “Vineland” novel about a “zone with blessed anarchy in Northern California which is the last resort of Hippiide”, according to the book’s synopsis.
The Full Novel Description Reads: “Here, in an Orwellian 1984, Zoyd Wheeler and His Daughter Prairie Search for Prairie’s Long-Lost Mother, A Sixties Radical Who Ran Off With a Narc. ‘Vineland’ Is Vintage Pynchon, Full of Pynchon, Full of Pynchon, Full of Pynchon, FULL Of Unreolved Subplots, Corny Songs (“Floozy with an Uzi”), Movie Spoofs (Pee -Wee Herman in the Robert Musil story) and illegal sex (including a macho variation on the infamous sports car scene in V.).
DiCaprio made his Youtube debut to launch the trailer. This marks his first move to a new social platform in several years as he already has over 60 million followers on Instagram, almost 20 million followers on Facebook, 18.5 million followers on X and over 6 million followers on threads.
DiCaprio has a number of other projects in the works, including various Martin Scorsese collaborations. The long -awaited “Devil in the White City” adaptation is now set in the 20th century, with Scorsese Directing and DiCaprio starring. “Home” is also in works at Apple with Scorsese that produces. The rumored Frank Sinatra Biopic with DiCaprio depicting the singer (and the Scorsese director) has since been acclaimed.
