Carrie Underwood and Make Mike Fisher go first red carpet together in two years
In the case of Celeb romance, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are the champions.
The country singer and the retired NHL player met in 2008 through a mutual connection, her bassist Highlight Portsand quickly formed a romantic band.
And even though the two lived in two different countries, with Mike who lived in Canada for hockey at that time, their early long distance relationship with a commitment in 2009, followed by their wedding in 2010. Now Mike and Carrie share Sons Isaiah10 Jacob6, and their rescue dogs Charlie as they adopted in 2023.
And while the couple has kept much of their relationship out of the public eye – and off the red carpet – in recent years they made an exception for Opry 100: A living celebration in Nashville on March 19. In fact, this was their first red carpet together in two years, after their joint behavior on CMA Awards in November 2022.
A possible cause of fewer joint performances? Children.
“My husband has the kids,” she shared with cmt on 2023 CMT Awards. “He always holds down the fort while I do things like this.”
